The trichophytic closure is a technique that allows the hair to grow through the strip's scar, thus making it less visible.
It involves a triple closure of the donor site (strip) after removal of the epitelium on the lower edge of the wound.
It is now offered as the standard closure to STRIP patients, and at no extra cost, by many surgeons.
N.B. Sometimes, hair growing through the scar is not properly oriented (axle, angle).
